I know, I know – its almost Fall and yet I just finished up these socks I started way back when. It actually wasn’t that long ago that I began this pair (our short trip up to Vermont mid-June), but it feels worlds away from where we are right now.
The socks, now that there are two –

Fall colors are popping up everywhere!
I spun up 2oz. of the new Sunshine Yarns superwash roving in the Octoberfest colorway. I love it, even though its still pretty thick and thin and my joins were a bit hairy here and there. I have about 160 yards of a light sport weight yarn – what should I make?!
This and the other 11 colorways will be posted in the store on Tuesday, September 16th at 11am EDT. This next week marks the 3rd anniversary of Sunshine Yarns!!… can you believe that!
It’s raining here again today. It feels like we are still in New England with the cool, crisp air – fall is right around the corner here in Colorado.
I have two finished projects to show you, and some more spinning to boot. Alas, its rainy and the light in here stinks. You’ll have to wait another day or two to see what I’m talking about! For now, here is something to make you smile on a rainy day (because lets face it, most of the country is being poured on today).
I dyed up lots of yarn this week – some colorways bring back memories of early summer; others of early fall.
Bitterroot is one of my all time favorite colorways. It inspires cool mornings, apple cider, cinnamon and the falling leaves. I’ll be starting some new socks, very, very soon.
Wishing you all a fun and relaxing day….
