Yes, the days of long ago, well of 2006 at least. We had a wonderful year…
The following pictures are from Vermont, Ireland, Cape Cod, Fenway and Colorado. Happy New Year to all of you!
And, go check out my now complete 2006 Gallery on the right hand tool bar! I looked back at all my knits last night, and man, I knit alot this year! My favorite project you ask???? It had to be this!
I felt that Scott needed a bit of knitting love this week… so while visiting one of my favorite knitting stores, Black Sheep, we picked up a few skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky. I have never knit with the superchunky before, and loved it.. super quick, super easy, super soft and super loved.
Its not the widest man scarf out there (only about 6″ wide), but its long enough to wrap around his head a few times. Perfect. Now all we need is some cold weather here in Boston.. Are those snow flakes I see today?!
Pattern: Just a basic garter stitch scarf knit the long way.
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky in colors 25, 15, and 22
Measurements: 6″ wide and around 75″ long.
Started: December 28, 2006
Finished: December 30, 2006
Other Details: CO 205 sts on a US11. Knit every row and change colors when desired!
It just happens that these are the two projects I have been working on the past few days…
Lucy has had buttons for over a week, but I just haven’t had a chance to take decent pictures.. These dorky ass dining room and attempted self pictures will just have to do! I love this cardigan and have already worn it twice.. its super soft and provides just enough warmth for this mild New England winter we are having so far.
Pattern: Lucy in the Sky Cardigan by Cosmicpluto Knits
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran #13 (10 balls was all I needed!)
Measurements: As per the patterns recommendations, I knit a size smaller than I normally would. I knit the 35″ chest to fit a 37″ chest.
Started: September 23, 2006
Finished: December 12, 2006
Other Details: I added some length to the body and to the arms, but other than that, I changed nothing! Since there is no waist shaping, I highly recommend knitting down a size for a flattering fit.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!! Best wishes to all of you..
